The Ceradyn Microfilter features a 0.2 micron silver-impregnated ceramic filter that has been put through some of the harshest conditions on the planet and tested to perform up to 150,000 liters, depending on water quality. This filter meets the EPA standard for the removal of Bacteria (99.9999% Klebsiella Terrigena) and Protozoan Cysts (99.9% Giardia and Cryptosporidium).

The Katadyn TRK Drip Ceradyn free-standing gravity filter comes with a 10-liter water container, making it ideal for the water supply of camps, cabins, and homes without running water. This Ceradyn version comes with three ceramic filter elements.

Ceramic filters have a micro-porous structure with impregnated silver, which delays the growth of bacteria. The pore-size of Katadyn ceramic filters is 0.2 micron (0.0002 mm), efficiently filtering out bacteria (ranging in size from 0.2 to 5 micron) and protozoa (1 to 15 micron). These filters can be mechanically regenerated, and their filter capacity is measurable.
